Our Full Story

Our team met each other during our college years at the University of Oklahoma. We graduated in 2017, and went into the industry.

Cody went into the field of manufacturing and machining, while the other three of us went into the aerospace and manufacturing industry. In 2021 we invested in a machine shop together, and our main focus was standard machine shop work we gathered from around the Oklahoma City area.

Cody approached us one day about the idea of machining disc golf discs, and while we had no idea if it was possible, the other three of us were on board. We did not have the proper lathe at the time, so we invested way too much money into a lathe with hopes it would work.

After over a year of testing different plastics and getting the process figured out, we finally were able to machine quality disc golf discs for the market.

Our first disc was approved in November of 2023, and ProtoFlyte Discs was born.
